The Seventh Day, God Rests

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

The Creation of Man and Woman

4 These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

5 When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground,6 and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground 7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.8 And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers.11 The name of the first is the Pishon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.12 And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there.13 The name of the second river is the Gihon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Cush.14 And the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden,17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

18 Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit fort him."19 Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him.21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh.22 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

23 Then the man said, "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

10-14 - An attempt to authenticate the story.

15 - God is just? Rather unfair... He brought a man into temptation. 

18-19 -  A certain inconsistency? We know from Genesis 1:24-27 that God created the man (Adam) and other living things. And now he continued his masterpiece of creation? Moreover, I think this fragment clearly states: God is imperfect - he didn't know what would be the best helper for the man.

But he should - he is Omniscient and Perfect.

20 - Nowadays we still don't have all species named.

25 - Eden - the place where chicks are naked - that must be the real paradise. In our world it is called porn. We have to pay for that:)

To be fair, I will bring you  the first reason of our self-destruction - called "The Holy Quran". Is it so holy as they used to call it? Decide yourself. This time I give you the first surah. Nothing special, nothing controversial.

Genesis 1 - The Big Bang

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.2 And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. Oh my Science! Praise Science!

6-8. In those days people seemed to don't know if there is a water in the skies. They saw a clear border between the heaven and the sea. They assumed only Yahweh could divide such obvious  contradictions. Nowadays we know there is a water in the air.

9-13. Could it be done easier? They didn't know many species, genera, and even families or orders! Where is the science? If YHVH is so great  why he didn't show us the complexity of life at the beginning of our existance?

14-19 Again... Believers! Why are you so blind!!? This is nonsense! Light is not an opposite to the darkness! Light is a form of energy! Darkness? What is that? From Wikipedia: "(...) light cannot simply be absorbed without limit. Energy, like visible light, cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be converted from one type of energy to another. Most objects that absorb visible light reemit it as infrared light. So, although an object may appear dark, it is likely bright at a frequency that a human being cannot see." But... The Ancients didn't know such facts... so they made up a story about dividing the darkness from light.

20-23 Again.. The Ancients didn't know a lot of species! Nowadays we are still discovering new species (not only bacteria and insects).

24-28 Yahweh divided animals from the perspective of human: useless, useful.  Not bad... But we are not in the centre of the Earth! We are as much important as any other species on the Earth.

29-30 What about Lichens, Mosses and other non-seeding plants? Fungi? Where are they? Without these 3 groups our planet would have hard times, a specially without Fungi.

Author/s of this chapter had very little knowledge about our world. Why their God didn't explain them step by step what is all about in our world?

Adam’s descendants

1 This is the record of Adam’s descendants. On the day God created humanity, he made them to resemble God 2 and created them male and female. He blessed them and called them humanityt on the day they were created. 3 When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of a son in his image, resembling him, and named him Seth. 4 After Seth’s birth, Adam lived 800 years; he had other sons and daughters. 5 In all, Adam lived 930 years, and he died.

6 When Seth was 105 years old, he became the father of Enosh. 7 After the birth of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years; and he had other sons and daughters. 8 In all, Seth lived 912 years, and he died. 

9 When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan. 10 After Kenan’s birth, Enosh lived 815 years; and he had other sons and daughters. 11 In all, Enosh lived 905 years, and he died. 

12 When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel. 13 After the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years; and he had other sons and daughters. 14 In all, Kenan lived 910 years, and he died.

32 When Noah was 500 years old, Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Am I crazy? Or maybe I am just more reasonable? Scientology is ridiculous? After few years I will continue this blog. I will try to put some more stuff. But, to be honest with you, I am much more sceptical after reading first 5 chapters, than I was before.

In XXI century we know that we cannot live hundreds of years even with high level medicine... Maybe thousands years ago people believed that it was possible to live hundreds of years in the Bible times. Furthermore, the possibility of living 10 or even 20 times longer was very tempting. Is it still?

Science and sacrifice

Oh my science... When you are able to think about science like a destination... like a something you could do for society.... You can't think about money, about material things. Money and exploratory science are not connected to each other. You can sacrifice your life for science, but you can't sacrifice your family! Our purpose of life is to reproduce, to generate another copies of our genes to get them to another generation. We cannot forgot about this dogma. Like Darwin - we have to bring up another generation. Remember! We are just the machines which can replicate genes. First of all we have to remember about our destination in this world - than about career and money! Nowadays, in Europe, USA, Canada (for example) people have forgotten what is the purpose of life.

Population growth decreases specially in Europe (see the picture above - from Wikipedia) and in North America. As you can see - about 2020 Europe will start to shrink...

Stop talking about money! Stop talking about career! Stop complaining!

Beware the Believers

Religion is dangerous. Even without war - it is silent volcano. Only one spark and it will erupt. AL-Kaida, Hamas, Israeli Government, IRA and other religious fanatics. Faith is nothing but war and pain. Most wars are religious. Nowadays terrorists are almost always fueled by religion. Beware the believers! Crucifixion, stoning to death, concentration camps for Palestinian... All are the same. All are with faith background... Beware the believers! Today I saw a news title "Hunting witches in Gambia". Fairies, ghosts and other unscientific things are irrationable and unaccaptable in XXI century.

Oh! My Science

Only science could be explanation for all phenomena. We have to be careful to interpret results of our studies. Science have no emotions, have no fear. Science can't vacillate. Science brings only pure proofs. But scientist have to be aware of manipulation and reading these proofs... Only reasonable approach could be acceptable. Reason and science - only they are able to explain everything.
